We were out on Friday, now recognised to be the hottest day of the year, scouting locations for some upcoming photowalks.
Sophie and I went to Lickey Hills, a large area of natural beauty near Birmingham. It’s a fantastic spot with so much variety and step off the beaten path and nobody is any the wiser you’re there.
This is one of the first sets we shot on the day. Love the contrast in black and white between the irregular, gnarly tree bark and the soft curves of Sophie.
All natural light with care taken to select the right spot to get good light on the subject and make sure the background didn’t over power her.
All shot on 70-200mm lens at f2.8 to give a sharp focal plane and then render foreground and background deliciously out of focus.
