Shooting from the Wrong Side

I love using light and shade to sculpt the human form. In this set I used a low vantage point and 50mm lens to skew the perspective and artificially extend the length of Carwen’s legs for dramatic effect.

A single strip box was placed to her left whilst I took place on her right. That produced highlights on the far side of her and shadows on the side nearest me. It also produced a fantastic shadow on the wall nearest me.

A little smoke was added for effect from the light side so the light shone through it to highlight it.
